All paintings are professionally photographed to capture the heavy paint strokes and vivid colors. The image is then printed on 19 mil museum grade polycotton blend canvas that is acid free and 100% OBA free. This canvas is approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild for permanence. The image is printed with 12 color Ultrachrome Inks, which have become the industry standard for unrivaled color accuracy, stability and permanence. Breathing Color Timeless Archival Varnish is applied, guaranteeing 100 year archival display life with UV protection from fading and yellowing while offering protection from scuffing and smearing. The piece is assembled with custom made stretcher bars constructed from top quality North American Poplar hardwood to ensure long lasting archival results.

 

Once carefully put together, I then apply several strokes of paint deliberately across the piece to add some dimension. Each embellished piece is unique in where the strokes are applied, and the signature is recreated as a final touch. Depending on the size of your piece, I may apply anywhere from 50 to 250 strokes of paint. 

 

Canvas production is about 2 weeks. Holbein Aqua Duo oil paints take around 2-4 months to fully dry, especially when applied in thick strokes. To minimize the risk of damage to your embellished piece, please allow for ample drying time. Your one-of-a-kind piece will be securely packaged and shipped through UPS or USPS once fully dry.
