This lovely book is written by a South African (me) and illustrated by a South African (Francis Eusebio). It is set in the African Savanna and will contain many gorgeous animals and scenery inspired by our heritage. 
 
Jill and her big brother make a wish upon a star before going to bed one night. These wishes are met by a surprise visitor and an unexpected adventure. Their journey tests their bravery and self-love. This beautifully illustrated book captures the wonder of the African plains and helps children to look within themselves for the strengths that they seek. 
 
Additional features include an activity for finding characters and objects in the book, along with fun facts about the animals and plants found in the Savanna.
